AIF National Titles – Dubbo
March 2012
Harbord Diggers swimming club attended the 76th AIF National titles this last weekend at Dubbo and were a very successful small team. The weather and event was perfect.
The team were transported to Dubbo via a hired 12 seater bus piloted by Bob Kelsall & Richard Edwards and all stayed at the RSL Motel. The carnival was at the 50M Olympic pool at Dubbo where 415 swimmers from 40 RSL & Affilliated clubs competed in the Day long carnival to be national champion.

Castle Hill Carnival 2012 report.
Harbord Diggers swimming club attended the Castle Hill carnival RSL in April with great success again. There were 10 RSL and like swimming clubs competing.
The team were transported to Castle Hill RSL club pool via a hired 12 seater bus piloted by Peter Hopkins. The carnival was held in their indoor 25M pool in their gym complex next door to this tremendous club.
Attendees were Wayne Davidson, Noel Erickson, Deb Griffin, Peter Hopkins, Bob Kelsall, Max Mincham & wife, Barry Newall & wife, Vicki Thompson, Kerry Wells, Mike Warren.
Results
Our swimmers in the championship 50M races Noel Erickson and Deb Griffin were unplaced.
In the handicap 50M race swimmers from Castle Hill RSL and Cronulla filled the top places.
We won the following brace relay events:
1st 2 x 25M Freestyle Brace relay Wayne Davidson & Castle Hill swimmer
3rd 2 x 25M Freestyle Brace Relay Barry Newall & Cronulla swimmer
1st 2 x 25M Stroke brace relay Kerry Wells & Souths swimmer
10 x 25M team relay Harbord 4th from winner Blacktown, 2nd Souths & 3rd Gosford.
