Harbord Diggers Cribbage Club
Last year was a very successful year for the cribbage club. We welcomed 4 new players to the club – all ladies to boost the female numbers. Several years ago, the ladies were invited to join the men and play regularly, which has proved to be a very successful and enjoyable outcome. It has been an exceptional few years with both men and women taking great pleasure in this intriguing and interesting cribbage game every Thursday evening.
We are still asking for new members to come and join us for a great relaxing, yet stimulating game. It is bound to get the mind working and a great chance to meet friendly, likeminded folk who enjoy the challenge and camaraderie every week.
There is a refresher course available if necessary, so please don’t feel that you will be “thrown in at the deep end!”
We all look forward to another year involving great cards and generally having an enjoyable evening. Please phone Alan on 0419 238 595 or Pat on 0402 840 410 if you need any further information or would like to join our Cribbage club.

Next week we embark on the annual Club Doubles Championship so everyone is geared up for a great competition.
Eileen Whittaker has been on the sick list but has thankfully recuperated sufficiently to join us for the championships, and we hope to welcome Rita Flynn and Norma Chapman back very soon.
A great milestone was achieved in June by one of our members, Bill O’Grady, who attained the great ago of 90. Bill, who may be a little less agile these days, has certainly lost none of his playing skills and prowess and we are very proud and pleased that he still makes the effort to join us every week.

The Cribbage Club is always looking for new members to come and join us for a great evening of cards, so if you are interested in playing, please phone Alan on 0419238595 and meet us in the Freshwater room at 7.30pm every Thursday evening.
