Class Definitions
We love Group Exercise! Our timetable is wide and varied, it is constantly under review to ensure the best classes are provided and the most up-to-date exercise disciples offered.

Family Friendly classes for students 12years and over (must be accompanied by a guardian). You will find these classes marked with the smiley face.
*Walk: A brisk walk around beautiful Freshwater & surrounding areas.
*Cardiacs: Entry level class with an emphasis on cardiovascular conditioning.
*Functional Fitness: A light and gentle start to better health. Involves the use of a variety of equipment for muscle conditioning. Ideal for beginners, pre/post natal or those looking for a steady approach to getting in shape.
*Club 50: A multidisciplinary approach to exercise incorporating low impact movements, the use of hand weights, and balance exercises.
*Stretch: A gentle class designed to relax, de-stress and revitalize your body whilst increasing flexibility.
*Spinal Yoga: A yoga class designed specifically to target spinal health and mobility.
**Yoga: A holistic class concentrating on increasing mobility, core strength & overall body awareness.
**SMARTLife for Veterans: Tailored specifically to the war veteran population and the exercise prescription reflects the requirements of this population. Although we invite other members to this class, we are aiming to improve the health status of the veterans.
**Conditioning: Minimal choreography with the focus on muscle conditioning for the whole body.
*Basic Pilates: Explains the fundamentals of this class and moves you through the basic levels of Pilates.
**Pilates: A class designed to reach the deep postural muscles that support the back. An excellent class to develop inner core strength and mobility. Also good for injury prevention and rehabilitation purposes.
**ZUMBA fitness: Pulsating Latin rhythms and easy to follow routines. Zumba will work your body from head to toe with exhilarating workouts to exotic rhythms of salsa, cuba, samba, meringue and more!
***BODYATTACK: Participants will experience high energy interval training moves for cardiovascular fitness, along with strength and stabilization exercises.
*BODYPUMP Technique: A theory style session designed to help you master the correct lifting techniques and gain a better understanding of how BODYPUMP will change your body.
**BODYPUMP: Weights to music. Define, firm and strengthen your entire body using adjustable barbells in this Les Mills Choreographed class.
***BODYSTEP: The traditional Step class refreshed to create a high-energy, athletic, and fun workout. This class is pre-choreographed; beginners may need to do several classes in order to pick up the moves (keep with it; it’s well worth it!).
**CXWORX: 30minute core conditioning class
***Boxing Circuit: A combination of popular boxing skills such as punching bags, speedballs and focus pad intervals with basic drills and strength work.
***CYCLE CLASS: The best cardiovascular work out available. Pedal to the beat of inspirational music. The level of intensity can be adjusted by varying the resistance on the bike making the class suitable for anybody regardless of their fitness level.
***Cycle & Abs: One of our favourite class formats combining the cardiovascular training gained in an indoor cycle class with an effective core training component.
*** CYCLE COMBO: Combine traditional ‘hilo’ moves with an interval on the bike and finish off with a core conditioning section and you have one of the best and most enjoyable workouts available! Easy to moderate choreography.
*** CYCLE CHALLENGE: Be inspired to push your body to the limit! An intense 60minute class designed to challenge your fitness like never before. We work hard on the bike, then incorporate high intensity large muscle group exercises to improve all aspects of our fitness ...BRING IT ON!
***Adrenaline Rush: Train hard with a continuous varied workout and results follow.
***Legs & Core: A class specifically designed to firm & define the torso & thigh regions. Suitable for moderate to high fitness levels.
AQUATIC OPTIONS
*Rejuv Aqua: Entry level Aqua, designed for those with movement issues.
**Aqua: Exercise to music in our heated pool. No swimming skills required. A fun workout for all fitness levels.
**Aqua Plus: Swimming plus traditional aquatic moves. Look out as this is a step up from your traditional Aqua class.
CIRCUIT OPTIONS
**Super Circuit: A combination of Universal Power Circuit Machines with basic and strong aerobic moves. A great class suitable for most fitness levels with little coordination required.
* Healthy Bones Circuit: Prerequisite: Participation in the Healthy Bones Course. Designed to improve bone strength and health through increased muscle strength and joint mobility. Keiser equipment utilised for best results.
